Mancuso is a dermatologist and political veteran, albeit all as a Democrat, from Courtland. He is the only Republican seeking the nomination who has any legislative experience having been an Alabama state representative. In 2006 he lost to Judge Bobby Day in the Democrat primary for Alabama Senate District 3. Mancuso ultimately contributed to Day’s Republican opponent, Arthur Orr, in the general election. He easily has the best campaign website of any of the AL-05 candidates.
