Dale Jackson suspended for one week over election day radio stunt

WVNN released this statement late Friday in response to Dale’s election day joke:

WVNN officials have announced that morning talk show host Dale Jackson will be suspended from his duties for a period of one week beginning Monday 6/15/09.

This suspension is a result of an on-air prank that Jackson carried out on 6/9/09.

We believe that there should be a very clear difference in opinion and news. Mr. Jackson has been instructed to keep that difference very plain in the future.

Okay, I missed this last week, and spent the weekend too busy to care. But if they want to punish the host of a show, do so. But don’t punish us the listener with boring national crap radio. I don’t know what show was on, but it sucked. I listened to maybe 5 minutes worth.

If you’re gonna silence Dale, bring on someone else local and interesting.
