Rocket City Brewfest Friday Results

About 2000 activists turned out to Speak Truth to Power Friday night at the Huntsville Depot Roundhouse – shouting Free the Hops!

OK, so really a couple thousand people and 100+ volunteers attended the first Rocket City Brewfest.  The event went smoothly – thanks to the promoter and the HPD and the volunteers and the breweries and the beer distributors and the restaurants and the bands and the weather.

The Brewfest (Part 1) was a success – food tickets were sold out (also sold out for Saturday); attendance was right at expectations; and there were no problems.  Public awareness of Free the Hops was heightened and funds were raised for continuing the political campaign.

Even better, downtown bars got an influx of patrons after the event - plus brewers / distributors / restaurants got to promote their products to a receptive demographic (beer drinkers who buy beer and eat out) – plus some people made money (promoter, police, security, t-shirts, facility, etc).

It is nice to be with so many people and see so many smiles.

Brewfest continues Saturday from 3PM to 7PM.  Sponsors include Olde Towne, The Nook, Yazoo, Sweetwater, Lazy Magnolia, and Samuel Adams.

And that is how you win votes and influence people.

Show them a good time, entertain them and softly push the agenda.
