As first reported here on Monday the Democrat field includes Jenny Askins, who I suspect is the choice of the party faithful.  She’s easy on the eyes I must say, which certainly doesn’t hurt when running for a public office.

Here’s the full list of candidates according to AL.com:

Democratic candidates are:
• Jenny Rhodes Askins, 39, voter registrar for the past 14 years. She and her husband, Jim, live in Toney and have three children.

• Ed Sasan, 43, Madison police officer and retired Army. He lives in Harvest, and he and wife, Sylvia, have three children.

• Shawn Terry, 34, Monrovia Volunteer Fire Department chief. He lives in Huntsville.

Republican candidates are:
• Tommy Carter, 58, retired Madison County chief deputy. He lives in Toney. He and his wife, Janice, have four children.

• Frank Prabel III, 58, Boeing program manager and retired Army chief warrant officer. He lives in Harvest and is a part-time cattle farmer.

• Glenn Watson, 68, a retired Huntsville city councilman. He owns Stanlieo’s sandwich shops. He has three children and four grandchildren.

• Phil Williams, 49, Synapse Wireless co-founder. He lives in Huntsville. He is married to Lisa, and they have one son.
