According to the DC Examiner Alabama senators Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby were among a bipartisan group of 25 senators who offered no bills or amendments in January.  As the article points out, though:

In their defense, Sessions and Shelby can certainly point to their very visible and active roles as public spokesmen for opposition to further TARP bailout funding and automakers bailout.

Guys, on another subject supposedly Sam Givhan had a meltdown today when someone asked the candidates at a public forum if they had ever given money to or supported candidates of another party. He got very angry, said the question was a “smear” and ran over the time limit without really answering the question.

Guys – why is asking a legitimate question a “smear?” He has an opportunity to explain himself.
