Parker Griffith votes against the bailout

I questioned whether Griffith would follow through on his promises to be an independent voice in Congress during the previous campaign.  But he is backing up those promises with some votes that district residents can be proud of.  The latest?  He was one of eleven Democrats to vote against the massive stimulus bill.  The bill passed the House, but at least Griffith was on the right side.

Note: Bobby Bright also voted against the lard – I mean stimulus – bill.

I would like to point out that the Alabama leftists are irate.  They are suggesting that Bright and Griffith should be referred to as “female dogs.”  And you thought that seething, vitriolic hatred would abate with the election of The One!

I’ll diplomatically say that they certainly do not represent mainstream thought or generally accepted norms for decorum.
