Siegelman to speak at Democrat convention
Posted by BrianAccording to WHNT Don Siegelman is going to be speaking at the Democrat’s convention in Denver. Siegelman, who remains a convicted felon, will not be professing his innocence, but will be speaking about Karl Rove’s role in “political prosecutions.” You know, the Karl Rove who Siegelman will tell you was so powerful that he had the entire justice department serving his every whim, but was simultaneously incapable of ordering a single CIA or FBI officer to trail Siegelman and instead (supposedly) chose to personally ask a large red headed woman with no experience conducting clandestine operations to spy on one of the most recognizable figures in Alabama politics.

What’s more absurd than the speech is the report on WHNT’s website by Greg Privett.

Greg is so apparently sure that Rove is guilty of what Siggie says that he states it as fact without attribution in the story. This is some sorry reporting. Privitt might as well introduce dandy don at the convention.

Did you hear Greg literally cry last night about the FBI taking poor old Sue out of her bathroom? He’s getting to be ridiculous with all this Don and Sue stuff and running over to Decatur and licking Stacy Georges shoes. Anyway if Rove was as powerful as the Don claims. Then why didnt Rove have the FBI run that Waltz sting that they were running in Nashville and Memphis simultaneously in Montgomery? The whole thing is foolish..he’s just taking them for fools.
