McCain, Sessions have huge leads in Alabama

2008 August 6

According to Rasmussen Reports John McCain has a commanding 55% to 37% lead over Barack Obama in Alabama.  Biggest stat from the poll: 61% of voters view McCain favorably, while 57% view Obama unfavorably.

In the Senate race Jeff Sessions is crushing Vivian Figures 58% to 31%.  Sessions has a 64% favorable rating.  A whopping 65% of respondants said, “Who the hell is Vivian Figures?”  OK, I made that last one up, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was pretty close.

It will be really interesting to see how that affects the AL-05 and AL-02 races.

Especially since both Democratic candidates want to pretend they are Conservatives or Republicans.

I think those numbers will probably save Love down in the wiregrass. I dont know about Wayne though. Parker is trying to republican Wayne it seems. Wayne and Love had better keep their base happy though. After watching that non controversial freshman Congressman in east tennessee lose yesterday…theres a lot of unhappy GOPers in this country.
