The most amazing thing I've seen so far online regarding the King rumors is this blogger's apparent blind spot as to why some Democrats sometimes "shout" "he's gay!" No, they don't think it's "despicable." They think it's despicable, hypocritical, demagoguery to denounce -- & work to deny or take civil liberties from -- other gay people, while of course implicitly deceiving the voters.

It's also amazingly naive to think that, because Charlie Crist -- or anyone -- marries someone of the opposite sex, he or she is heterosexual. Crist, according to countless sources, is gay, and he has worked to deny rights to gay people. That's the only problem.

And, is Larry Darby anywhere near as representative of, or important in, his party as King is in his?

Finally, the blogger ends his entry on Alabama liberals' misdeeds by making a seeming comparison to one of the lower-life gossip columnists! Should Alabama conservatives likewise be compared to bloggers that support violent, anti-government survivalist camps, or worse? I have the feeling I don't want to see what the links on the right lead to.

To see this blogger question any other's "professionalism" is pretty damn rich.

Your criticisms of liberals for enjoying gay Republicans is misplaced. Yes, we crow when right wingers are exposed as gay. The reason is their hypocrisy. When closted right wingers decry homosexuality as contemptable, they open themselves up to valid scorn when the closet door is flung open.

Oh, there's lots of things the current wave of whispers could be connected to, voter fraud, the 2010 governor's race, and a long list of those willing to pass on any negative gossip about a politician.

Just musing, what rumors will circulate during a Folsom-Davis square off? Will the 2010 primaries and general election be be a repeat of Wallace vs. Brewer?

I'll let King or his folks answer that question (should they decide to). I don't want to add to the rampant speculation because I, like everyone else, don't know the facts. I only know what I've heard. Like I said, though, the story I've heard isn't the same as what is being told by some.

As I understand it the only parts that are (or may be) true are the non-salacious ones.

I'm starting to wonder if all this is at all related to the Voter Fraud investigation.

But anyway, the rumors are at least partially true.
