Pre-Primary FEC reports trickle in
Posted by BrianWayne Parker’s pre-primary FEC report is available for public viewing. He hauled in $111,387 during this reporting period. Combined with the previous period that gives him a total of $289k raised thus far. Nearly all his money has come from individuals.
Parker’s campaign has spent $156,781, which leaves him with $131,405 cash on hand. Most of the spending has been fairly routine: media buys, polling services, campaign t-shirts, etc.
More FEC pre-primary reports should be online in a day or two. I did notice that Cheryl Baswell Guthrie loaned her campaign $55k on May 19th according to her 48 hour notice. I wonder how much her pre-primary report will show she loaned her campaign. I’m guessing $150k total thus far.
Update: I initially pointed out an expense for a $431 Apple iPhone incurred by Wayne Parker’s campaign. The payment was made to Lisa Parker, Wayne’s wife. I inaccurately characterized this as a phone for Mrs. Parker when it was simply a reimbursement. Parker’s campaign manager (Lisa Eyster) left a comment here and followed up with me to clarify that the iPhone was purchased by the campaign to serve as both a campaign phone and camera so that they would not have to purchase a separate digital camera. They considered the purchase to be a cost savings. My apologies for any confusion.

Just a comment on Wayne Parker’s FEC report. Obviously it appears as if the candidate’s wife is using an I-Phone, however she was just being reimbursed for an I-phone that the campaign bought to use to take digital pictures with throughout the campaign. This has been a really helpful tool to have to take pictures at events, etc. and then immediately download them to the necessary place/person.

Lisa what about the unattributed 1274.00? Just wondering.
