Ray McKee addresses Twickenham Republican Women’s Club
Posted by BrianRepublican candidate to replace Bud Cramer as Alabama’s representative for the 5th congressional district Ray McKee addressed the Twickenham Republican Women’s Club in Huntsville yesterday. McKee took the opportunity to broaden his platform.

But on Tuesday, McKee told Twickenham Republican Women’s Club members that there is more to his candidacy for the suddenly vacant seat representing North Alabama in Congress.
McKee, a 63-year-old Republican, said he favors deporting illegal immigrants, term limits for Congress, more nuclear power plants to ease dependence on fossil fuels, and getting America out of the United Nations.

I have to admire MCkee for taking on Bud when all these johnny -come-latelys would not.

I’m confused. He wants out of the UN, but wants to round up other countries to police the world?
Anyway, he is a nice guy and I could vote for him. He doesn’t seem like a sleaze ball.

I thought the same thing, Matt. I’m guessing he is implying that the UN is hopelessly corrupt and the structure gives crackpot dictators far too much influence. Maybe he thinks is is possible to create a new international body that resolves the shortcomings of the UN. I’m a bit skeptical.
He is a good guy personally. Probably because he isn’t a professional politician.
