One year ago today a tornado tore across Enterprise, AL.  The tornado struck Enterprise High School, my alma mater, killing eight students.  It also went through my parent’s neighborhood, sparing their house of catastrophic damage, but demolishing many of their neighbor’s homes.  The Dothan Eagle has a tribute page including an interview with the parents of the victims.

Here is a link to pictures I took around town about two days after the tornado went through.  I also posted a few pictures from inside Enterprise High School.  The devastation was astounding - and the pictures don’t even do it justice.

While it would be foolish to suggest that things are back to normal there, the town, which is renowned for it’s ability to cope with adversity, is doing about as well as can be expected.
