A temporary exhibit including 16 models of Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions is coming to the Huntsville Museum of Art starting today and continuing through the 27th of April.

As a mechanical engineer and all around tech geek, da Vinci is one of my historic idols.  On a trip to France a few years ago I had the opportunity to visit his final residence in Amboise in the Loire Valley.  At the Clos Luce manor is a similar display of his inventions and sketches.  It was a fascinating exhibit that I highly recommend if you ever happen to be in the area.

I’m definitely going to try to make it to the Huntsville exhibit.
