WVNN cans Tim Knox, replaces with dead air, ratings surge
Posted by BrianWell, that is partially true. WVNN has ended Tim Knox’s afternoon show. He has been replaced (temporarily or permanently?) with Mark Levin.
I don’t have anything personally against Tim, but his show was… not compelling. It was kind of like Seinfeld - about nothing - except Seinfeld was funny.
I’m hoping they hire Matt Murphy, who recently parted ways with Crawford broadcasting down in the Ham.
Update: For the record, Knox left WVNN to pursue other interests. He was not fired, as the title of this post states.

If you like a stable venue, aspiring hosts you may want to avoid WVNN. They’ve had many hosts over the recent past.
Before they hired Will Anderson for the 5-7 slot, WVNN conducted a listener poll to determine who would become the next host. Of course, Will won. Then they fired him. And they felt no reason to explain it to the listeners. The said it was their professional duty to refrain from comments.

I emailed WVNN when Will first left, Dale Jackson wrote back and said that basically, WVNN wanted to go in a “softer” direction and Will wouldn’t comply…Go Will!. So they put wussy Tim Knox on there which absolutley sucked. They said that Will and WVNN parted amicably. I loved Will’s show and wish they would bring him back!!! I think they were just trying to appeal to the grocery-getting soccer mom’s who may have found Will offensive. Well Rush, Hannity, Levin etc.. are just as blunt as Will was! They should bring Will back.

No one was offended by Will, I said “different direction.”

WVNN is ruining its self. You have a fat bald guy in the mornings, and seems to have some new bimbo.
