Amen to this post. Someone should probably tell McCain the same thing. Either he is equally uninformed or was just being flat out dishonest. I cannot wait for the new book from Neal Boortz and John Linder that comes out in March entitled FairTax: The Truth: Answering the Critics.

While I think the FairTax is a horrible idea, I do agree on Mr. Toobin’s idiocy. But even if the IRS is eliminated and replaced with nothing as Dr. Paul suggests, surely Mr. Toobin knows that that for the first 125 years of the Republic’s existance there was no income tax. He probably also knows that far less than half of FedGov’s revenue comes from the income tax.
He was either being deliberately deceptive or unintentionally moronic.
