Heard today on WBHP that Will Anderson will be back on the air on November 3rd. Has WBHP finally decided to beef up it's local talk offerings. Either way, it will be good to hear Will in Huntsville again.

I am not sure of the spelling of her name, however, while listening to her program a few days ago, she was going on about McCain signing the Bailout Bill. I could not believe how this woman RANTED and RAVED against McCain. The influence she must have had on many listeners, especially those listening for the first time, would have been terrible.

Yes, we have free speech. However, she was yelling, like a child, throughout the news message regarding this. She is not a good influence for your radio station. Screaming and yelling is not as an "educated" adult would act.

I would hope someone has mentioned this to her and advised her that she can give opinions, but no one wants to hear a woman ranting and raving on the radio. When she comes on, I change to another station.

Thank you, Barbara McDonald

It is too bad that WVNN let Will Anderson go - or worse yet fired him. I'm almost positive it is a case of shaky management at WVNN getting into a snit over some minor issue in which they were forced to fire Will to save face. I listened to Will Anderson's show every chance I got and thought he was will informed, a good listener and carried on an intelligent discussion with the callers. When I sent an email to the station for some explanatino as to his mysterious and sudden departure it was if was if I had been suddenly transported in time to the former Soviet Union. When a Soviet leader was deposed, sent to the Gulag or shot; the Soviet controlled media would play a Tchaikovsky interlude and all references to him would disappear and he would become a non-person as if he had never existed. That is exactly what happened at WVNN. They even went so far as to have him redacted out of Wikipedia as though he never existed. Fred turned out to be a lackluster filler and I'm sure listenership dropped off. I like Pamela Furr and am glad she is at WVNN but if she gets too popular or says something that is politically incorrect (according to station management); you can expect her to be sent away, her name and picture removed from the WVNN web site and all email to the station returned with a comment that she is "currently pursuing other interests." I can only the assume that if the talk show host is the least bit controversial that the management of WVNN has a sacred duty to releave that host of duties as quickly and unceremoniously as possible. Will was one of the best talk show hosts at WVNN and could have easily substituted for Shawn Hannity. Will was always polite, engaging, and willing to listen except when he said "Kook 'em Baxter". It would be nice if anyone has any information as to what Will Anderson is currently doing, that they leave a note at this website.

I don't know why WVNN trashed their 3-5PM slot, but I believe they have. Fred seemed to be filler, Mark Levin was a huge plus up but not local, and now there's Pamela. I often called in to Will Anderson's show. Lack of knowledge or lack of being unwaveringly opinionated may have been a negative for some, but he made up for it by being a good listener, relatively courteous, and stimulating people to call in for argument, viewpoint or just a thought.
Dale Jackson is far less satisfying, but he effect a number of interesting calls despite the more than occasional belittling of others. I've called into his show twice during his first 3 months, but not since. I have tried to listen to Pamela, but gave up shortly after her call to the brothel to find out if business was up since Sptizer. I did think about calling in , but only to ask if WVNN's had a refrigerator that was running and in hopes of saying, "Well, you'd better go catch it". Instead, I have opted just to leave this crappy e-mail, and hope talk radio improves at WVNN.

Will may have agreed with Shawn on many issues, but his tone was completely different. Will was polite, engaging, and willing to listen. That’s what made his show special, and it is what I will miss most. Hannity would do well to learn how to listen a bit more.

When the policeman who arrested Craig said 'Craig entered it and put his roller bag against the front of the stall door, "which Sgt. Karsnia's experience has indicated is used to attempt to conceal sexual conduct by blocking the view from the front of the stall," said the complaint, which was dated June 25.', it reduced his credibility below zero. I can't seriously imagine anywhere else to put a roller bag in a restroom stall and have done so many times myself. If the policeman is seriously suggesting that this act is meaningful, I doubt anything he says.

I once accepted a plea deal in a case in which two policeman were lying. It was a choice of putting it behind me (with the record expunged) or proceeding through the courts with a minimum expense of at least $5000. I don't know whether Craig was soliciting or not. And even if he was soliciting, what he actually did was not illegal, and I think the behavior of the police is a much bigger concern. If he was soliciting, any normal person would have either ignored him or told him to get his hands back where they belonged.

I have stopped listening to WVNN in the mornings or evenings. I can't stand Dale Jackson. If he speaks, I switch stations. I'm neutral about Tim Knox, but think he's a step backwards from Will Anderson, though better than Darla Jaye.

Jay I agree with you about the new guy. i gave him a fair chance and could not stand keeping him on my radio for longer than a half hour. He is spineless worm and really has a poorly organized show. I turned him on and he's talking about sports and then jumps on some other tangent. He's just there to fill airtime. I liked Will because he brought unique character and talked about local issues. I still beleive that Will was ternminated because:
1) He took stand on local issues and pissed off local government officials
2) Disagreed on some issues with Dale

I might be wrong, but there are other talk show hosts.

I really enjoyed the refreshing Will Anderson for a change in afternoon viewing. I only wish him well. I do not; however, like the "new guy". I can't even remember his name! I usually end up changing to another radio station after years of listening to WVNN in the afternoon riding home. One problem I have with the "new guy" is he cannot speak the english language without (as the blogger above stated about Will) "finger nails on chalkboard" reactions from the listeners.

I never really listened to The Will Anderson show much and the reason was because I couldn’t stand the way he sounded. I know this sounds crass but to me he sounded as if he were inhaling helium and then speaking into the microphone, which had the bass turned up a notch or two before it came through my radio speakers.

I’m sorry, but I could never listen long enough to form an opinion on any issues he discussed; basically for me, listening to Will was like “finger nails on chalkboard.” It was painfully annoying.

I'm not "terrified of public restrooms" nor am I at all uneasy around gay people. If propositioned by a man (or a woman - I'm married and faithful) in any place I would politely rebuff the proposer.

You don't KNOW that the police officer was lying anymore than I KNOW that Craig was lying. Here is my basis for assessing the officer to be truthful: he had no motivation to lie and Craig did. The police officer stands to lose his job by falsely and intentionally accusing private citizens of wrongdoing. That is a pretty big motivator to stick to the facts. Craig was clearly doing something he shouldn't have and he furtively tried to deny it to protect his facade of integrity.

Keep the facts straight (pun intended): the officer did not get the hands mixed up. He saw a wedding ring on the hand that entered his stall. That is a dead give away as to which hand it was (in addition to the thumb, which corroborated the officer's account). The fact that he saw a wedding ring shows that it wasn't just "the tips" of Craig's fingers since a wedding ring sits at the base of the ring finger (on the left hand).

Also, that particular bathroom was widely known on the internet as a prime "cruising" spot. People were creating a public nuisance by engaging in sexual activities in the bathroom. The sting operations in the bathroom captured dozens of offenders prior to Craig's arrest. From what I understand nearly all (if not all) caught admitted to being there to solicit and engage in anonymous sex.

These "cruisers" use a system of covert signals to announce their intentions. They use these signals in an unambiguous combination to avoid falsely propositioning a non-"cruiser." Craig was signaling his intentions like a third base coach.

Now if you want to discuss whether or not one should be allowed to proposition other men in restrooms I'm open to discuss the merits of both sides. But, the allegation that Craig was there to solicit sex from a man is pretty sound.

Yeah that's exactly what the first show was like, chit chat. Although a bit early to judge, he just doesn't have much of a spine. I think WVNN wanted some one less controversial, to avoid upseting any local politicians of power and they found that person. Whether or not people tune in, is up to all of us.

The restroom cop said he seen the tips of his fingers under stall. However Craig denied this frivilous accusation and was actually picking up something from the floor. The cop also got the left and right hands mixed up because HE was not telling the truth. Craig never asked for sex. Even if Craig did just ask for sex, the other person can simply say "no".

I wouldn't hire this incompetent cop as a rent-a-cop. He would be too much of a liability to cause some one to generate a lawsuit against my firm. The sting operation was a failure and designed to trap the innocent. Brian, if you are so terrified of public restrooms, may I advise you to wear your rubber underwear?
