Remember: it’s for the children!

In an editorial penned by David Prather the Huntsville Times called for the passage of a one cent sales tax increase in Limestone County.  I haven’t been in the area long enough to make a definitive statement, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Times editorial board reject a tax increase - especially one being sold as for the schools.  If you know of a time where their editorial board actually encouraged readers to vote against a tax increase please let me know.

The editorial also called on readers to reject the proposed alcohol ban in Athens.  Well, Prather was one for two.  If he were playing baseball that would get him to Cooperstown.
