From the Decatur Daily:

State environmental chief Trey Glenn, already the target of an ethics investigation about whether he improperly accepted gifts, watched a Montgomery Biscuits baseball game from the private box of Alabama Power Co.

Trey Glenn, director of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, said he accepted the seats in the Alabama Power box because his family likes baseball.

Oh, he accepted the tickets because he likes baseball.  That makes it ok.  You might recall that Alabama Power also wined and dined state Attorney General Troy King at a baseball game, although King’s stature merited a luxury suite at Turner Field, while Mr. Glenn was only given tickets to a team named after a breakfast bread.

Best line from the article:

[Glenn] said sitting with an Alabama Power lobbyist and other employees did not give the utility special access to him.

If you believe that I’ll sell you a proverbial bridge in Arizona.

Glenn was already under investigation for “using his position at ADEM’s Office of Water Resources to obtain personal trips.”   Hmmm… a company with numerous hydroelectric plants situated on our many waterways is entertaining a man responsible for the protection of our water resources in a private box at a baseball game.  Am I the only one who has a problem with that?
