Reader’s Digest version: the Dems promised many reforms, including a PAC to PAC ban and reverting to a four year property tax reappraisal schedule.  They chose not to advance those, and other, promised agenda items - they chair the committees and the fault for not advancing bills to the floor rests squarely on their shoulders.  They did pass a 62% pay raise for themselves, though.
