Sales tax increase to be decided by Madison County voters
Posted by BrianI just got home from the Madison County Commission meeting. The sales tax increase failed to pass - Brooks, Dyer, Strong, and Craig voted against it, while Harrison and Jones voted for it. Ultimately it was decided on a 5-1 vote (with Harrison as the lone dissenter) to put the measure before the citizens of Madison County in a binding vote during the Feb 5, 2008 primary election.
