Quote of the Week: “Eight times seven is 42, isn’t it?” state Finance Director Jim Main asked House General Fund committee members during a hearing for Gov. Bob Riley’s economic incentive package last week. After several committee members in unison quickly recited the correct answer, “56,” Main, realizing his goof, said good-naturedly, “I’m not good in math.” That brought a collective chuckle from committee members.

The Alabama state Finance Director is math challenged.  I may be mistaken, but I thought finance involved math?

On an unrelated matter, the same article above also notes that Rep. Mike Ball, among others, have joined John McCain’s presidential campaign exploratory committee.  Ball claims he is backing McCain because of Redstone Arsenal.
