My 2006 Ballot - Summary
Tomorrow is the big day. The candidates I will be voting for are listed below. Click on the appropriate statewide/Madison County link for further explanation of my choices.
My final word on this election will pertain to what is probably the most important (to me) close race: Arthur Orr (R) vs. Bobby Day (D). I believe that a vote for Bobby Day is a vote against capitalism and is a vote for bigger government and a deceitful man.
Day’s baseless attacks on Arthur Orr have been particularly vile, especially considering Orr’s untarnished history of helping others. Orr went so far as to formally ask Day to withdraw his untrue attack ads and Orr signed a notarized affidavit refuting Day’s accusations. Day refused to pull the ads even after he knew the content to be certifiably false.
Worse yet was Day’s pseudo non-attack ad, in which he advocated increased (and unnecessary) intervention in the operations of private businesses. Day’s calls for tougher “price gouging” laws could result in pronounced shortages of critical goods, such as gas and bottled water, in the aftermath of a disaster. I call it a “pseudo non-attack ad” because I found it a bit strange that the only positions he takes “happen” to be associated with the topics he was using to attack Orr.
Do we really want Bobby Day representing us? I say no!
I encourage you to vote for Arthur Orr for State Senate, District 3.

Brian,
You definitely need to vote for Glenn Murdock. Not only is he a great leader and an honest Christian family man he is a hard worker. He is very efficient as a Civil Appeals judge, and is backed by many of our outstanding judges in Alabama.
He is also founder of the Honest Elections Coalition to fight vote fraud in Alabama.
Hopefully this will swing you to vote for him, if not let me know and I will give you some more great reason to vote for him.

Thanks Jeff. Unless someone else provides more compelling reasons to vote for John England, you’ve earned Mr. Murdock one more vote.
