This is remarkably unsurprising.  Despite crushing regulation our medical industry still bears some resemblance to a capitalistic system.  Of course people with more financial resources get better health care.

There are lots of problems with our health care system, many of which could be cured through less regulation and greater restrictions on punitive awards in malpractice lawsuits.  The last thing that needs to be done is to socialize the industry.  If you think the schools constantly play Chicken Little about having too little money just think about how government run hospitals would bemoan the countless deaths that would result if our taxes weren’t increased so that they could provide a “minimal level” of care.
