Pork for a steet named after a Bear:
Much of Paul W. Bryant Drive is about to become a construction zone.
A $7.9 million federal grant means that work on the downtown section of Bryant Drive west of Queen City Avenue is expected to begin in January.

U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby’s office announced the $7.9 million grant from the National Institute of Standards and Technology last week.
“This ongoing project will continue to make significant impact on Tuscaloosa’s economy,” Shelby said in a news release.
