Week 2 - College Football Picks
Posted by Brian5-2 was pretty good for week 1. We’ll see if I can do any better. I’ll try to update the lines before Saturday.
Update: >>> Final Score, $ = win, X = loss
>>> Week 2 record: 4-3 (7-0 straight up)
>>> Overall record: 9-5 (11-3 straight up)
Auburn @ Miss. St. (AU -20) –> Call me crazy, but I’ve got a good feeling about this one. Too much firepower on the Tigers’ sideline for Miss. St. to put up more than one half of decent football. AU 35 - MSU 10.
>>> AU 34 - MSU 0, $
Vanderbilt @ Alabama (UAT -16) –> Jay Cutler is gone and the ‘Dores can go back to the SEC basement with UK. Vandy 7 - UAT 24.
>>> Vandy 10 - UAT 13, X
Penn St. @ Notre Dame (ND -8) –> No way Touchdown Jesus gives the Irish an eight point edge. But, I think they will pull this one out. PSU 17 - ND 21.
>>> PSU 17 - ND 41, X
Air Force @ Tennessee (UT -20) –> How many times has the phrase “Air Force gets grounded” been used pertaining to sports? I don’t know, but consider this X + 1 times. AFA 14 - UT 40.
>>> AFA 30 - UT 31, X
Georgia @ South Carolina (UGA -3.5) –> Vegas is giving the other USC too much credit for a 15-0 win over the other Bulldogs. This one won’t even be close. UGA 35 - USC 10.
>>> UGA 18 - USC 0, $
Ohio St @ Texas (UT -2.5) –> I’m already tired of the pre-game hype surrounding this game. OK, so Colt McCoy looked good against North Texas. Newsflash: the OSU D is *a little bit better* than the Mean Green D. Regardless, should be a good game. OSU 24 - UT 21.
>>> OSU 24 - UT 7, $
Upset Special:
Clemson @ Boston College (Clem -2.5) –> BC lost their best defensive player to the NFL, Clemson lost theirs to an injury in week one. This is a classic opportunity for Bowden to light a burning fire underneath himself - only to extinguish it late in the season. Clem 21 - BC 28.
>>> Clem 33 - BC 34, $
