I’m guessing this is going to be a powerful and worthwhile exhibit.

From WAFF:

A new exhibit at the Huntsville Museum of Art is set to open Sunday.

It’s a display of pictures from the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001.

Images from ground zero by photographer Joel Meyerowitz, the only photographer allowed in the scene at the time.

He took over 11,000 photos after the recovery process.

Peter Baldaia spent today putting on the finishing touches, giving the WAFF 48 News cameras a tour.

He says the display is something you have to see in person.

“The color and the size of the pieces really, I think, can give people a sense of what it was like to be there in this important moment of history,” said Baldaia.

Also, memory walls stand outside the museum, available for public comment.

Museum officials say these memorials are meant to be written on.
